PORCELAIN VENEERS

Veneers are very thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory.

Veneers can be used to change the color and shape of your teeth to create a beautiful, natural looking smile. An ideal solution in treating many dental conditions, they can often be used as an alternative to crowns.

Reasons for porcelain veneers:

  • To create a uniform smile
  • Discolored or stained teeth
  • To improve the proportions of your teeth
  • To improve uneven spacing
  • To repair or chipped teeth

WHAT TO EXPECT

Four to Five Appointments

First Appointment

After discussing your aesthetic goals Dr Davis will take photos and make impressions to send to the dental laboratory. Most cases require a customized wax-up which will serve as a test run of your new smile at your next appointment.

Second Appointment

Two weeks later Dr Davis will apply the wax-up to your teeth to test run the look and feel of your new smile.

Third Appointment

After minimal countering of your natural teeth,  final impressions will be taken and sent to the dental laboratory for fabrication of your customized veneers. You will sent home with temporary veneers to protect your natural teeth.

Fourth Appointment

Dr Davis will evaluate your permanent veneers for aesthetics and fit, and they will then be cemented in place and contoured as necessary.

You will receive care instructions for your veneers, and should follow up with Dr Davis as advised. As with your natural teeth proper brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your beautiful new smile.
