Dr. John C. Davis, DDS

Dr. John Davis is an Encinitas native, graduating from La Costa Canyon High School in 1997. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In June of 2010 he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (D.D.S.) from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.

Upon graduation he was commissioned into the United States Navy as a Lieutenant and was accepted into a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at Federal Health Care Center Great Lakes, IL., gaining additional training in oral surgery, restorative dentistry, periodontics and endodontics.

After completion of this program in 2011 Dr. Davis accepted three-year orders to a Naval Branch Health Clinic in Sasebo, Japan. For his service in Sasebo Dr Davis received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

Dr. Davis enjoyed his time serving his country and is now enjoying being back in Encinitas and providing dental care in his hometown. After working alongside Dr Dennis Marshall, Dr Davis is looking forward to continuing to provide patient focused dental care as owner of Encinitas Dental Group. In his spare time Dr. Davis enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, mountain biking, skiing and dirt bike riding.

Dr. Davis is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Association.

Our office staff has been receiving for over 15 years, annual in-office training from Joy Howard RN, BSN, a noted educator in the field of not only OSHA and CDC issues, but in office safety and compliance protocols as well. We strive to keep current in making our office a safe environment for our patients and staff members alike. We attend dental lectures, meetings, study clubs and dental conventions to stay informed of new dental techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Also, being members of various professional dental associations helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.
